Senior Sustainability Consultant
I have worked for McDonald’s for 30 years, starting as a crew member and working my way up through the Operations hierarchy before joining the Sustainability Team in 2010. Since that time I have completed a degree in Environmental Studies with the Open University.
My team is responsible for the Packaging and Recycling, and Climate Action strategies, measuring, reporting and innovating our restaurants’ sustainability initiatives.
Our goals are to source all packaging from renewable, recycled or certified sources by 2025, and to provide recycling for customers in all of our restaurants. McDonald’s has also set a global science based target to reduce emissions from restaurants and offices by 36% by 2030, in line with the Paris Agreement, which my team is responsible for implementing in the UK and Ireland.
